So my grad class was completely unexciting... well all of them seem to be these days. I may have redesigned all the major factions... implementation begins this weekend. Why are they tough choices? Well... each faction has basically two versions of pokemon, there is early game troop collecting and late game troop collecting (it 3.x noble recruits). Factions are NOT created equal in my vision... they may vary in number of towns, villages, lords, and troop compositions. Some factions may be stronger in the early game department, while others may shine in the late game.
The question becomes, do you stick with your faction of role playing choice even though early game you are getting hammered?
There are certain strengths of all factions, and glaring holes are present as well. No longer do you pick a faction that has all of the following: shields, heavy inf, light inf, ranged units, ranged units with huge claymores, horsemen, and mounted archers... all in one tree.
To supplement these holes (which are generally filled with noble recruits) you will need to look to either other factional units or a wide variety of mercenary and companion compositions. May your choices be hard... yet fulfilling ones.
Food for thought.
